CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT
Arrests
• Marcus J. Brennan, 33, Centralia, was arrested and released for alleged unlawful possession of a controlled substance in the 900 block of South Tower Avenue at about 9:12 a.m. Sept. 16.
• Gregorio Cordero, 36, Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail for alleged second-degree criminal trespassing and an outstanding warrant in the 200 block of East Cherry Street at about 3:31 p.m. Sept. 16.
• Lorna R. Roberts, 30, Olympia, was arrested after allegedly obstructing traffic by walking in the roadway while intoxicated in the 1300 block of Harrison Avenue at about 8:50 p.m. Sept. 16. During the course of her arrest, she allegedly attempted to assault a police officer by headbutting them.
Burglary
• A burglary from the previous night was reported in the 500 block of Lakeshore Drive at about 11:37 a.m. Sept. 15. No arrests were made.
• A burglary was reported at a local construction site in the 1200 block of Harrison Avenue at about 10:33 a.m. Sept. 16. According to the reporting party, this is the fifth burglary at this construction site. Two of the previous burglaries were not reported to law enforcement. According to the reporting party, these previous burglaries did not meet their threshold to report.
• Property was reported missing from a residence in the 200 block of Latona Street at about 8:54 p.m. Sept. 16. The case is under investigation.
Criminal Trespass
• A local transient person was trespassed from a business in the 600 block of North Tower Avenue at about 7:22 p.m. Sept 16 for allegedly being disorderly.
Hit-and-Run
• One vehicle reportedly hit a bridge in the 1300 block of North Pearl Street at about 10:28 a.m. Sept. 16. There were no injuries.
• A hit-and-run was reported in the 800 block of South Gold Street at about 2:54 p.m. Sept. 16.
Theft
• Theft of a guitar from a local business was reported in the 1600 block of South Gold Street at about 2:57 p.m. Sept. 16. The case is under investigation.
• Paint was reported stolen from a local store in the 200 block of North Tower Avenue at about 3:37 p.m. Sept. 16.
CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT
Arrests
• Cory M. Caldwell, 46, Chehalis, was arrested and charged with one count of third-degree assault of a child after an alleged incident in the 300 block of Southwest Third Street at about 4:43 p.m. Sept. 10.
• Cody L. Snyder, 33, Chehalis, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for allegedly violating a protection order and resisting arrest in the 100 block of Southwest Fifth Street at about 4:35 p.m. Sept. 11.
• Joshua D. Johnston, 48, Chehalis, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, in the 500 block of Northwest St. Helens Avenue at about 7:57 p.m. Sept. 12 after Johnston allegedly pulled a gun on his girlfriend’s father.
• Guadalupe L. Gomez Mendez, 53, Chehalis, was arrested for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, and transported to jail after an alleged incident in the 300 block of Southwest Chehalis Avenue at about 2:41 p.m. Sept. 13.
Burglary
• A suspect reportedly tried to return items he took from the shelves of a business in the 1700 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at about 7:49 p.m. Sept. 10. The suspect was last seen in a Subaru Forester on Northwest Louisiana Avenue near the Walmart.
Vehicle Prowl
• A vehicle prowl that occurred the previous night was reported in the 10 block of Southeast Washington Avenue at about 8:28 a.m. Sept. 11.
Malicious Mischief
• A report of a juvenile putting holes in walls and breaking a chair was made in the 100 block of Northeast Hampe Way at about 10:53 a.m. Sept. 12. The incident reportedly occurred the day before.
Accidents
• A two-vehicle collision occurred at the corner of Northwest Chamber of Commerce Way and Northwest Louisiana Avenue at about 1:58 p.m. Sept. 12. The collision was reportedly non-blocking. No aid was needed.
• A single-vehicle collision occurred in the 100 block of Northeast Hampe Way at about 3:56 p.m. Sept. 12. Emergency medical aid was required at the scene.
JAIL STATISTICS
• As of Sept. 17, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 198 inmates, including 185 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of the general population inmates, 155 were reported male and 30 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and two were reported female.
