CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT
Criminal trespass
• A transient was trespassed from Borst Park in the 2000 block of Borst Avenue just before 8:30 a.m. on Dec. 17 after he was found camping on the property in violation of city code.
• Two transients were trespassed from a property in the 1300 block of Lum Road after they were found living in their vehicle in a privately owned lot in the 1300 block of Lum Road.
DUI
• Ronda L. Aughe, 53, of Centralia, was arrested at the intersection of West Reynolds Avenue and Lum Road just after 11:45 a.m. on Dec. 17 and was booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail for DUI after an officer stopped her for driving recklessly.
Assault
• A juvenile at Centralia Middle School was referred for the charge of fourth-degree assault with sexual motivation at 12:20 p.m. on Dec. 17 after he allegedly grabbed another student inappropriately and against their will.
• A juvenile was arrested in the 500 block of South Iron Street just after 3:20 p.m. on Dec. 17 and was booked into the Lewis County Juvenile Detention Center for assaulting their parent.
• A domestic violence physical assault was reported in the 200 block of South Diamond Street just after 8:50 p.m. on Dec. 17. The case is under investigation.
• Robert Benson, 47, of Centralia, was arrested in the 600 block of North Tower Avenue at approximately 10:45 p.m. on Dec. 18 and was booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail for fourth-degree assault and indecent exposure.
Harassment
A victim reportedly received death threats via telephone in the 1000 block of Eckerson Road just before 4:35 p.m. on Dec. 17. This case is still under investigation.
Vehicle accident
• Stacy Starr, 50, of Chehalis, was cited for third-degree driving with a suspended license after being involved in a motor vehicle collision in the 1000 block of South Gold Street just after 6:05 a.m. on Dec. 18.
Hit-and-run
• A hit-and-run was reported in the 1100 block of West Chestnut Street at approximately 10:50 a.m. on Dec. 18.
Nuisance
• Joshua Blankenship, 37, of Centralia, was arrested in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue at 11:35 a.m. on Dec. 18 and was booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail for drinking in public.
Theft
• Aarmani Solomon, 25, of Seattle, Kishawn Charles, 24, of Tacoma, and Dominique Taylor, 29, of Kent, were all arrested in the 100 block of West High Street just before 1:30 p.m. on Dec. 18 and were booked into the Lewis County Jail for organized retail theft.
Malicious mischief
• Zane Smith, 32, of Centralia, was arrested in the 2800 block of Russell Road just after 5:15 p.m. on Dec. 18 and was booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail for third-degree malicious mischief, domestic violence.
CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT
Theft
• Emma L. Valentine, 18, of Rochester, was arrested in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 1:15 p.m. on Dec. 12 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for third-degree theft and obstructing a law enforcement officer.
• Kelli M. Faust, 32, of Chehalis, was referred on third-degree theft charges just after 10:05 a.m. on Dec. 17 for a theft reported in the 200 block of Southeast Washington Avenue the day prior.
Vehicle accident
• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 3 p.m. on Dec. 12.
Criminal trespass
• A man was trespassed from a property in the 2000 block of Northeast Kresky Avenue at 11 p.m. on Dec. 12.
• A woman was trespassed from a business in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 4:40 p.m. on Dec. 16.
Public works
• A citizen advised that all of her drains were backing up in her house in the 300 block of Northwest Florida Avenue at 10:20 a.m. on Dec. 13.
Suspicious person
• An unidentified male wearing black clothing and a colorful mask was reportedly standing in front of a business in the 100 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue with a knife in his hand just after 12:45 p.m. on Dec. 13.
Assault
• Jacob J. Henry, 31, of Chehalis, was arrested in the 1000 block of Southwest 20th Street just before 12:35 p.m. on Dec. 14 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, and resisting arrest.
DUI
• Kenyon K. Homan-Shearer, 21, of Chehalis, was arrested in the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue for being in physical control of a vehicle while under the influence just after 6:20 p.m. on Dec. 15 after he was found slumped over his steering wheel in a drive-thru.
• Brock R. Piper, 42, of Chehalis, was arrested in the 1300 block of Northwest State Avenue just before 12:10 a.m. on Dec. 17 for being in physical control of a vehicle while under the influence.
JAIL STATISTICS
• As of Dec. 19, the Lewis County Jail had a total facility population of 153 inmates, including 140 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of the general population inmates, 113 were reported male and 27 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and two were reported female.
• As of Dec. 19, the Chehalis Tribal Jail had a total jail population of 23 inmates. Of those, seven were from Centralia, nine were from the Department of Corrections and one was from Elma. Additionally, there was one inmate each from the Quileute Nation, Suquamish Tribe, Shoalwater Bay Tribe, Tulalip Tribe and Lummi Nation.
