CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Harassment

• A Centralia man was arrested in the 900 block of West Pear Street just before 8:15 a.m. on Sept. 12 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for felony harassment, threats to kill.

 

Malicious Mischief

• Damage to vehicle tires in the 500 block of South Tower Avenue was reported at approximately 9:35 a.m. on Sept. 12. No suspects have been identified.

• A Centralia man was arrested in the 1100 block of West First Street at approximately 5:35 a.m. on Sept. 14 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for malicious mischief after he was reportedly seen breaking a residential window.

 

Burglary

• A burglary to a residence in the 300 block of North Rock Street was reported at approximately 11:15 a.m. on Sept. 12. No suspects have been identified.

 

Theft

• A purse was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 2000 block of Borst Avenue at approximately 12:55 p.m. on Sept. 12. The case is under investigation.

• A traffic cone was reported stolen from a parking lot in the 1700 block of South Gold Street at 2:15 p.m. on Sept. 12.

• Clothing was reported stolen from a store in the 500 block of Harrison Avenue just after 3:45 p.m. on Sept. 12.

• A white 2003 F250 pickup truck was reported stolen from the 2000 block of Johnson Road just after 10:40 a.m. on Sept. 13.

• A Centralia man was cited for third-degree theft in the 1200 block of Harrison Avenue just before 1:20 a.m. on Sept. 14.

 

Indecent Exposure

• A Centralia man was arrested in the 1400 block of Mellen Street just before 5:05 p.m. on Sept. 12 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for indecent exposure after two citizens reported “a male masturbating in public near a public transport station.” When the officer arrived, “the suspect was still in the act that had been reported,” according to the police report.

 

Trespassing



• Two Centralia residents were cited for trespassing in the 1200 block of Alder Street just after 12:45 p.m. on Sept. 13. One of the subjects was additionally cited for possession of methamphetamine.

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Theft

• Just after 8:50 a.m. on Sept. 12, a possible mail theft that occurred Saturday night was reported in the 100 block of Southeast Monroe Street. The caller said he “was told by a neighbor his mailbox was open along with others.”

• A case of counterfeiting reported in the 1500 block of North National Avenue just after 12:15 p.m. on Sept. 12 is under investigation.

 

Dispute

• A physical dispute was reported at the intersection of Northwest Louisiana Avenue and Northwest Chamber of Commerce Way at 11:35 a.m. on Sept. 12.

 

Trespassing

• A man who was reportedly “walking around, yelling, punching the air (and) being really weird” was trespassed from a property in the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at approximately 9:25 a.m. on Sept. 13.

• Just after 12:10 p.m. on Sept. 13, a staff member at a store in the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue asked for a woman who “came into the store and started cussing at (the caller) when (the caller) asked her to leave her backpack at the counter” to be trespassed.

 

Vehicle Accident

• One driver suffered a panic attack following a two-vehicle collision in the 300 block of Southwest 13th Street just before 12:35 p.m. on Sept. 13.

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

As of Wednesday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 180 inmates, including 163 in the general population and 17 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 138 were reported male and 25 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 15 were reported male and two were reported female.
