Sirens: Juvenile referred for assault charge after shooting with Orbeez gun; woman arrested after planning to sell drugs; burglar steals money from bedroom

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Theft

• A package was reported stolen from a residence in the 100 block of North Silver Street just after 11:30 a.m. on July 10.

• A USB wall outlet was reported stolen from a hardware store in the 200 block of North Tower Avenue just before 11:35 a.m. on July 10. A photo of the suspect has been retrieved from security cameras.

• Officers are investigating a retail theft reported in the 100 block of West High Street at 10:30 p.m. on July 10.

• A 32-year-old Rochester man was arrested in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue at approximately 11:30 a.m. on July 11 and was booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail for third-degree theft and for an outstanding Department of Corrections warrant.

 

Disorderly conduct

• A homeless Centralia man was screaming and possibly setting up camp at the intersection of Scammon Creek and Cooks Hill roads just before 3:55 p.m. on July 10. An officer contacted the man and helped him get transportation to another location.

• A 37-year-old Centralia woman was arrested in the 100 block of West Maple Street at 2:35 p.m. on July 11 and was booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail for disorderly conduct.

 

Drug/alcohol violations

• Renee L. Boettger-Gill, 58, of Centralia, was arrested at the intersection of West Hanson and North Pearl streets at 5:45 p.m. on July 10 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for possession of meth and fentanyl with intent to deliver. She allegedly had the drugs on her person when contacted by officers and allegedly admitted to “purchasing them with the intent to deliver them to other individuals.” She was charged in Lewis County Superior Court on Thursday, July 11.

• A homeless Centralia woman was cited for having/consuming liquor from an open container in public in the 500 block of North Tower Avenue just before 10:45 a.m. on July 11.

 

Eluding

• A vehicle eluded an officer who tried to stop it for a moving violation at the intersection of South Railroad Avenue and East Main Street at approximately 7:10 a.m. on July 11. The officer did not pursue to comply with Washington state vehicle pursuit laws.  The vehicle was later identified as being stolen.

 

Malicious mischief

• Damage to a vehicle’s door handle that occurred during an apparent vehicle prowl attempt was reported in the 200 block of North Oak Street just before 9:05 a.m. on July 11.

 



Hit-and-run

• A hit-and-run reported at the intersection of northbound Interstate 5 and Harrison Avenue just after 2:55 p.m. on July 11 is under investigation.

 

Burglary

• At 9:45 p.m. on July 11, officers responded to a business in the 1000 block of Eckerson Road for a report someone had broken in through a window and stole money from a bedroom.

 

Assault

• A juvenile male was referred for charges after he used an Orbeez gun to fire soft gel bullets, which hit someone in the 300 block of North Tower Avenue just after 12:30 a.m. on July 12.

 

Criminal trespass

• A homeless Portland man was trespassed from a business in the 1000 block of Harrison Avenue at the employees’ request at 4:10 a.m. on July 12.

 

FIRE AND EMS CALLS

• Between Wednesday morning and Friday morning, Lewis County 911 Communications logged approximately 46 illness-related calls, 14 injury-related calls, eight fire-related calls, two vehicle accidents, seven non-emergency service calls, two Lifeline medical alerts, two ambulance requests, one suicide-related call, one poisoning and one other call.

 

JAIL STATISTICS

• As of Friday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 119 inmates, including 107 in the general population and 12 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 73 were reported male and 34 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and one was reported female.

• As of Friday morning, the Chehalis Tribal Jail had a total system population of 14 inmates, including five booked by the Centralia Police Department, eight booked by the state Department of Corrections and one booked by the Lummi Nation.
