Sirens: Man flees crash after pursuit; woman arrested for making false 911 reports; meth found after K9 alerts on vehicle

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Arrests

• Albert L. Brown Jr., 50, and Amber S. Haunreiter, 45, both of Centralia, were arrested in the 1000 block of Eckerson Road at about 12:42 p.m. Jan. 16 booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail for alleged possession of drug paraphernalia.

• Cassidy Lawrence Olsen, 20, Lacey, was arrested in the 1000 block of South Yew Street at about 5:17 p.m. Jan. 17 and booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged third-degree theft.

• Emmanuel C. Coa, 20, of Santa Clara, California, was apprehended by K9 Hector after a search that began in the 100 block of Estep Road in Napavine at about 7:12 a.m. Jan. 18. Coa had allegedly fled the scene of a crash following pursuit from the Washington State Patrol on Interstate 5. Coa was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail by the Washington State Patrol.

• Angela Harris, 42, Centralia, was arrested for alleged telephone harassment in the 1000 block of Eckerson Road at about 1:06 p.m. Jan. 18 and booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail. Harris had allegedly called 911 numerous times to make false reports against her neighbor which prompted police to investigate. Harris allegedly used profanity when speaking with 911 dispatchers.

• Laura K. Thomas, 50, Centralia, was arrested in the 1100 block of Belmont Avenue at about 7:26 p.m. Jan. 18 and booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail for alleged possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of a controlled substance. Before the arrest, K-9 Havik reportedly alerted to the odor of narcotics on Thomas’s vehicle during a traffic stop. Officers then obtained a search warrant and allegedly located suspected methamphetamine.

• Josiah D. McNealy, 34, Centralia, was arrested in the 1200 block of South Yew Street at about 9:58 p.m. Jan. 18 and booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail for alleged fourth-degree assault constituting domestic violence and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

Accidents

• Police investigated a rollover collision in the 1500 block of Kresky Avenue at about noon on Jan. 17. Officers reportedly observed no injuries.

• At about 12:43 p.m. Jan. 17, officers received a report of a hit-and-run incident involving a vehicle and a bicycle that occurred the previous day at the corner of South Gold Street and Field Avenue. No serious injuries were reported.

• Police investigated a two-vehicle collision with possible minor injuries in the 200 block of Downing Road at about 4:42 p.m. Jan. 17.

Criminal trespass

• A male was trespassed from a location in the 900 block of Old Airport Way at about 1:19 p.m. Jan. 16 for being disorderly and confrontational with staff and other patrons.

• A male was trespassed from a business in the 300 block of North Gold Street at about 1:59 p.m. Jan. 16 after staff reported that he was belligerent and had refused to leave during past visits.

• A transient person was trespassed from a vacant residence in the 1300 block of Eckerson Road at about 11:28 a.m. Jan. 17 after officers conducted a security check with the owner’s permission.

DUI



• Juan Luna-Sanchez, 36, Chehalis, was arrested in the 1100 block of West First Street at about 2:18 a.m. Jan. 17 and booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged DUI. According to police, a patrol officer conducted a traffic stop after noticing Luna-Sanchez driving erratically from a bar.

Harassment

• Officers received a report of a juvenile making threats of violence toward others in the 900 block of Johnson Road at about 9:43 a.m. Jan. 16.

Malicious mischief

• A juvenile was arrested in the 1000 block of North Washington Avenue at about 6:45 p.m. Jan. 17 and booked into Lewis County Juvenile Detention for alleged third-degree malicious mischief.

Theft

• Katlyn R. Buss, 27, Ethel, was arrested and issued a criminal citation for third-degree theft after she was allegedly caught stealing from a store in the 1000 block of South Yew Street at about 11:32 p.m. Jan. 16.

• Police investigated a vehicle theft reported in the 1300 block of Harrison Avenue at about 3:29 p.m. Jan. 17.

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

The Chehalis Police Department has not yet released its most recent call reports. Look for updated information in an upcoming edition of The Chronicle and at chronline.com when the reports are made available.

JAIL STATISTICS

• As of Jan. 16, the Lewis County Jail had a total facility population of 172 inmates, including 159 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of the general population inmates, 123 were reported male and 36 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and two were reported female.

• As of Jan. 19, the Chehalis Tribal Jail had a total jail population of 20 inmates. Of those, 13 were from Centralia, one was from Elma and two were from the Department of Corrections. Additionally, there was one each from the Quileute Nation, the Suquamish Tribe, the Tulalip Tribe and the Chehalis Tribe.
