CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT 

Sexual Misconduct 

• A case of sexual misconduct reported in the 500 block of Southwest Chehalis Avenue just after 7:55 a.m. on June 14 is under investigation. 

 

Criminal Trespass

• A man and a woman who were yelling at employees and refusing to leave a store in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 10:50 a.m. on June 14 were trespassed from the business. 

• The driver and passenger of a “suspicious white vehicle” in the 1400 block of South Market Boulevard were trespassed from a property in the area at approximately 4:45 p.m. on June 15. 

 

Disorderly Conduct 

• A man wearing “a teal long-sleeve shirt and a beanie” was reportedly “mooning at every vehicle going by” in the 500 block of North Market Boulevard just before 2:30 p.m. on June 15. 

 

Identity Theft 

• A case of identity theft was reported in the 200 block of Southeast Winchester Hill Drive just after 8:45 a.m. on June 15.

 

Missing Cable 

• A cable intended to keep people from diving out of a park in the 1500 block of Rice Road was reported missing just after 3:25 p.m. on June 14. The local parks department told law enforcement “they are aware of the situation and have plans to address it during the summer,” according to the Chehalis Police Department.  

 

Vehicle Accident 

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported in the 100 block of Northeast Hampe Way at approximately 6:25 p.m. on June 15. 

 

Assault 

• A man was arrested in the 1000 block of Northwest Prindle Street just after midnight on June 16 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence.

 

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT 

Hit-and-Run 



• A hit-and-run was reported in the 1000 block of Kresky Avenue just after 9:25 a.m. on June 14. 

 

Malicious Mischief 

• Damage to a window was reported in the 300 block of South Pearl Street just before 12:10 p.m. on June 14. 

• A Chehalis man was arrested in the 1200 block of Harrison Avenue just after 11:10 p.m. on June 15 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for second-degree malicious mischief, domestic violence after he allegedly damaged a vehicle. 

 

Theft 

• A black and red bicycle was reported stolen from the 2600 block of Cooks Hill Road just before 2:50 p.m. on June 14. 

• A Lacey woman was arrested in the 500 block of Harrison Avenue at 5:20 p.m. on June 14 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for third-degree theft and obstructing a law enforcement officer after she allegedly shoplifted from a business and failed to comply with police. 

• Officers responded to a business in the 1600 block of South Gold Street at 7:55 p.m. on June 15 for a theft report after two suspects used the restaurant’s debit/credit card device to credit their access devices. This case is currently under investigation.

• A vehicle was reported stolen from the 1100 block of Borthwick Street just after 3:40 a.m. on June 16. 

 

DUI 

• Jeffery C. Zobrist, 64, of Centralia, was issued a court summons notice for allegedly driving under the influence after he was involved in a collision in the 100 block of South Tower Avenue at 9:50 p.m. on June 14.  Zobrist was found to be under the influence during the collision investigation, according to the Centralia Police Department. 

• Jeffrey A. Goodin, 39 of South Bend, was arrested in the 900 block of Harrison Avenue just after 1:55 a.m. on June 16 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged physical control of a motor vehicle after officers found him “passed out in his vehicle at the fuel pumps of a local gas station with drug paraphernalia on and/or around his person,” according to the Centralia Police Department. 

 

Criminal Trespass 

• Just after 7:05 a.m. on June 15, officers were asked to find an unidentified male who was trespassing on private property at the intersection of Industrial Drive and Johnson Road. Officers did not locate the subject. 

• A business owner asked officers to move along a homeless man in the 100 block of North Tower Avenue just before 10:15 a.m. on June 15. 

• A homeless man from Centralia was cited for trespassing at a food bank in the 300 block of North Gold Street at 11:50 a.m. on June 15. 

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

As of Friday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 148 inmates, including 133 in the general population and 15 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 100 were reported male and 33 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 12 were reported male and three were reported female.
