Sirens: Man sentenced for stealing $3,400 from employer; men get jail time for assaults of children; unleashed dogs lead to dog fight

Sentencings

• Elton Hoard, 49, Tacoma, was sentenced May 27 to four months in jail with 46 days of credit for time served after making Alford and Barr pleas to one count of second-degree taking a motor vehicle without permission. • Ray E. Corcoles, 51, Randle, was sentenced May 27 to two years of community custody as part of a mental health sentencing alternative after making an Alford plea to one count of felony harassment. • Shane M. Nikoll, 28, Centralia, was sentenced May 27 to 30 days of electronic home monitoring with one day of credit for time served after pleading guilty to one count of second-degree theft. Nikoll was originally accused of stealing over $3,400 from his employer, AutoZone Auto Parts.

• Terry Joe Ayres Jr., 41, Centralia, was sentenced May 29 to eight years and six months in prison and three years of community custody after making Barr pleas to one count each of second-degree child molestation and third-degree rape of a child. • Jacob W. Seelye, 25, Centralia, was sentenced May 29 to one year in jail with 184 days of credit for time served and one year of community custody after pleading guilty to two counts of third-degree assault of a child (domestic violence). • Zina S. Kurtzbein, 30, Centralia, was sentenced May 29 to 90 days in jail after pleading guilty to one count of second-degree malicious mischief (domestic violence). According to court documents, Kurtzbein was also sentenced to 364 days in jail with 105 days suspended and 259 days of credit for time served, as well as one year of community custody, after pleading guilty to two counts of protection order violation. • Daniel B. Woody, 29, Federal Way, was sentenced May 29 to 75 months in prison and three years of community custody after pleading guilty to one count each of third-degree rape of a child, first-degree possession of depictions of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct and communication with a minor for immoral purposes. Woody made a Barr plea to one count of luring. The court ordered that Woody pay $1,000 in fees and fines and issued a no-contact order on behalf of the victim. CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Arrests

• Misty D. Fuller, 46, Centralia, was arrested after an alleged physical altercation with her spouse in the 2800 block of Russell Road at about 2:44 p.m. June 21.

Accidents

• A vehicle collision with damage was reported near the corner of Mellen Street and Marsh Avenue at about 6:45 p.m. June 19.



• A vehicle collision with damage was reported near the corner of Harrison Avenue and Belmont Avenue at about 7:10 p.m. June 19.

• Officers responded to a two-vehicle collision near the corner of North Pearl Street and West Sixth Street at about 1:23 p.m. June 20.

• Officers responded to a two-vehicle collision with injuries near the corner of South Gold Street and East Plum Street at about 4:43 p.m. June 21.

Criminal trespass

• A male subject was trespassed from a local business in the 200 block of North Tower Avenue at about 3:56 p.m. June 19.

• A transient individual was trespassed from a local business in the 1400 block of Harrison Avenue at about 4:44 p.m. June 19.

• Two subjects were trespassed from Fort Borst Park at about 11:02 a.m. June 21 after allegedly violating Centralia Municipal Code by failing to have their dogs properly leashed. The failure led to a dog fight between the two dogs.

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

JAIL STATISTICS

• As of June 17, the Lewis County Jail had a total facility population of 150 inmates, including 137 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of the general population inmates, 115 were reported male and 22 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and two were reported female.

• As of June 22, the Chehalis Tribal Jail had a total jail population of 18 inmates. Of those, six were from Centralia, one was from Chehalis, one was from Napavine and four were from the Department of Corrections. Additionally, there were three from the Lummi Nation and one each from the Quileute Nation, the Shoalwater Bay Tribe and the Skokomish Tribe.
