Sirens: Meth found in undergarments of theft suspect; Green Hill inmate sentenced for assault; driver, passenger of stolen vehicle arrested

LEWIS COUNTY SUPERIOR COURT

Sentencing

• Ardrell Javell Davis, 20, Chehalis, was sentenced on Nov. 10 to two months in jail and one year of community custody to be served at Green Hill School after pleading guilty to two counts of custodial assault. Davis was ordered to participate in anger management evaluation and treatment. He was previously accused of spitting on two staff members at the juvenile detention facility while serving a sentence for an earlier conviction.

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Arrests

• Carrie A. Berg, 22, Olympia, was arrested after she was allegedly found in possession of a stolen vehicle in the 100 block of West High Street at about 6:06 p.m. Nov. 10. Upon arrest, Berg was allegedly found with suspected methamphetamines.

• Tony L. League, 36, Centralia, and an alleged passenger in the stolen vehicle driven by Berg, was reportedly arrested in the 100 block of West High Street at about 6:06 p.m. Nov. 10 and booked into the Lewis County Jail for probable cause pertaining to an unrelated incident.

• Erick L. Garrett, 45, Centralia, was arrested for alleged hit-and-run in the 1600 block of Harrison Avenue at about 3:45 p.m Nov. 11.

Accidents

• A single-vehicle collision was reported at the corner of Mellen Street and Ellsbury Street at about 6:15 a.m. Nov. 12. No injuries were reported.

Assault

• Officers responded to a reported assault in the 700 block of South Tower Avenue at about 11:38 p.m. Nov. 10. The case is under investigation.

Criminal trespassing

• Aaron J. Henning, 35, Centralia, was arrested and issued a court date for second-degree criminal trespassing in the 200 block of East Chestnut Street at about 11 a.m. Nov. 10 after allegedly entering property he was previously trespassed from.

• A subject was trespassed from private property in the 1000 block of Eckerson Road at about 2:21 p.m. Nov. 10.

• A transient was trespassed from private property in the 200 block of Centralia College Boulevard at about 12:26 a.m. Nov. 11.

• Aaron M. Jernigan-Parish, 30, Louisiana, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged criminal trespassing and resisting arrest in the 1000 block of South Yew Street at about 2:32 p.m. Nov. 11.



Malicious Mischief

• Officers received a report of vandalism to the window of a business in the 200 block of Centralia College Boulevard at about 9:44 a.m. Nov. 8. The case is under investigation.

Possession of methamphetamine

• Billie L. Ford, 42, Packwood, was arrested after allegedly stealing cosmetic items from a local store in the 1000 block of South Yew Street at about 4:02 p.m. Nov. 10. Ford was allegedly found with suspected methamphetamines in her undergarments upon arrival at the jail.

Theft

• Jamel R. Payton, 51, Eijonnae Q. Leonard, 30, and Kierra M. Jones, 30, all from Tacoma, were referred for organized retail theft in the 500 block of Harrison Avenue at about 3:21 p.m. Nov. 10 after allegedly stealing from a local store. Leonard was reportedly booked for a warrant out of Texas. Payton was released into the custody of the Lacey Police Department where they reportedly had probable cause to arrest him on previous charges.

• Officers responded to an attempted theft from a local store in the 1000 block of South Yew Street at about 5:05 p.m. Nov. 10. The case is under investigation.

• Concrete building blocks were reportedly stolen from a local business in the 1600 block of Harrison Avenue at about 10:32 a.m. Nov. 11. The suspect allegedly used a fake name and credit card to purchase the blocks. The property was recovered by another agency.

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

The Chehalis Police Department has not yet released its most recent call reports. Look for updated information in an upcoming edition of The Chronicle and at chronline.com when the reports are made available.

JAIL STATISTICS

• As of Nov. 12, the Lewis County Jail had a total facility population of 168 inmates, including 155 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of the general population inmates, 118 were reported male and 37 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and two were reported female.

• As of Nov. 12, the Chehalis Tribal Jail had a total jail population of 20 inmates. Of those, six were from Centralia, three were from the Department of Corrections and one was from Napavine. Additionally, there were three inmates from the Lummi Nation, two from the Quileute Nation, two from the Tulalip Tribe and one each from the Suquamish, Skokomish and Shoalwater Bay Tribes.
