Sirens: Motorcyclist arrested with loaded firearms; devices seized after report of child porn; man booked into jail for threats with knife

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Arrests

• Jonathan Woodruff, 32, of Centralia, was arrested and released at about 8:13 a.m. Aug. 13 for two counts of possession of a loaded firearm in a vehicle, after allegedly being found with two loaded firearms on his motorcycle in the 400 block of East Summa Street.

• Rafael Ocampo Diaz, 35, of Toppenish, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail at about 11:16 p.m. Aug. 13, for second-degree burglary after allegedly attempting to cut into the security fence of a business in the 1100 block of West Chestnut Street.

 

Child pornography

• A report of a citizen in possession of child sexual assault material led to a search warrant being executed at a residence in the 500 block of Woodland Avenue. Electronic devices were seized for forensics at about 5:08 p.m. Aug. 13. The case is under investigation.

 

Theft

• A local business in the 100 block of West High Street reported a theft at about 5:41 p.m. Aug. 13.

• A bicycle was reported stolen in the 1200 block of Mellen Street at about 11:49 a.m. Aug. 14.

• A business in the 100 block of South Tower Avenue’s sign was reported stolen at about 10:41 p.m. Aug. 14.

 

Vehicle collision

• A two-vehicle collision occurred in the 900 block of Harrison Avenue at about 4:35 p.m. Aug. 14.

• A two-vehicle collision was reported in the 2000 block of North Pearl Street at about 4:45 p.m. Aug. 14.

 

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Arrests

• Tiras Dietzen, 48, of Chehalis, was booked into the Lewis County Jail for first-degree arson after a structure fire was reported in the 100 block of Southwest Alfred Street at about 12:09 p.m. Aug. 13.

• Jeremiah J. Landis, 46, of Lakewood, was taken into custody, transported and booked into the Lewis County Jail at about 3:28 p.m. Aug. 13 for first-degree robbery and third-degree theft after allegedly stealing items and threatening people with a knife in the 100 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue.



• Diane M. Price, 44, of Centralia, was charged with driving under the influence after allegedly being found passed out in her vehicle at about 11:52 p.m. Aug. 13 in the 500 block of Northwest Rhode Island Place.

• Harry Robinson, 65, of Centralia, was issued a criminal citation for third-degree theft after allegedly attempting to shoplift from a business in the 1700 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at about 6:34 p.m. Aug. 14.

 

Vehicle theft

• A resident provided false pay stubs at about 2:24 p.m. Aug. 12 and refused to make payments or return their 2017 Ford Explorer in the 2500 block of North National Avenue.

 

Theft

• Wiring was reported stolen in the 100 block of Exhibitor Road at about 3:04 p.m. Aug. 12.

 

Vehicle collision

• An accident between two vehicles occurred at the intersection of South Market Boulevard and Southeast Fairview Avenue at about 4:52 p.m. Aug. 14. Airbags were deployed with unknown levels of injury.

• A one-car crash occurred in the 1900 block of South Market Boulevard at around 6:50 p.m. Aug. 14. No driver was seen, but one resident was reportedly sitting in the passenger side.

 

Domestic violence

• A resident reported their boyfriend hit their car with his and left the residence in the 100 block of Northeast Terrace Road at about 10:35 p.m. Aug. 14. The caller said the boyfriend had a possible arrest warrant out of Arizona, and an invalid license.

 

JAIL STATISTICS

• As of Friday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 162 inmates, including 149 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 130 were reported male and 19 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and two were reported female.
