CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT 

Theft 

• Just after 10 a.m. on July 7, a safe was reported stolen from the 1200 block of South Market Boulevard sometime overnight. 

• A bicycle was reported stolen from the 400 block of Southwest Parkland Drive just after 5:15 p.m. on July 7. 

• A vehicle was reported stolen from the 800 block of Southwest William Avenue just after 9:50 p.m. on July 9. 

 

Disorderly Conduct 

• A woman was reportedly “beating on” something “with a crowbar” in the 1500 block of Rice Road just after 12:55 p.m. on July 7. 

• A male was reportedly “making threats” and “screaming at a bunch of teenage girls washing cars” in the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 1 p.m. on July 8. 

• A female was reportedly sitting inside a vehicle and “screaming at everyone” in the 300 block of Southwest James Street just before 1:30 p.m. on July 9. 

• A subject in a vehicle parked in the 200 block of Southwest James Street was reportedly “laying on their horn (and) screaming erratically” just before 9:50 p.m. on July 9. 

 

Suspicious Circumstances 

• A “20-year-old kid” was reportedly “naked in the alley” in the 600 block of North Market Boulevard “playing with himself” just after 2:45 p.m. on July 8. 

• A male in an alley in the 200 block of Southwest Lewis Street was reportedly “harassing people to warm up food for him, exposing himself” and “peeing on the corner of the house” at 6:10 p.m. on July 10. 

 

Open Container 

• An open container of alcohol was reported in a vehicle in the 300 block of West Main Street on July 7. 

Criminal Trespass 

• A customer reportedly refused to leave a drive thru in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 4:30 p.m. on July 7 and was removed. 

• A subject who reportedly “threw a shopping cart into someone’s car” in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 2:15 p.m. on July 8 was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for trespassing. 

• A group of homeless subjects were reportedly “attempting to camp” in the 600 block of Northwest State Avenue just after 6:45 p.m. on July 8. 

• A case of trespassing was reported in the 1500 block of North National Avenue just before 21:35 p.m. on July 9. 

• A male was trespassed from a property in the 300 block of Southeast Washington Avenue at 1:25 p.m. on July 9. 

• A subject was arrested in the 1500 block of North National Avenue just after 3:45 p.m. on July 9 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for trespassing. 

• A subject who was “causing issues (and) not being very nice” at a property in the 2100 block of Jackson Highway was trespassed from the property just after 4:20 p.m. on July 9. 

• A disorderly male who reportedly threw a bottle of wine into the bushes on a property in the 500 block of South Market Boulevard was trespassed from the property just before 5:15 p.m. on July 9. 

• A subject was arrested in the 200 block of West Main Street just after 6:35 p.m. on July 9 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for trespassing. 

 

Disputes 

• Just before 5:45 p.m. on July 7, a caller in the 300 block of Southwest Cascade Avenue reported his “little idiot neighbor (was) out there recording him” and asked law enforcement to respond. 

• A subject was reportedly “threatening to beat up” someone in the 10 block of Southwest Chehalis Avenue just after 8:45 a.m. on July 8. No assault was reported. 



 

Vehicle Accidents 

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported in the 100 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue just before 6:25 p.m. on July 7. 

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported in the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 5:10 p.m. on July 9. 

 

Hit-and-Run 

• A hit-and-run was reported in the 100 block of Northwest Boistfort Stret just before 12:10 a.m. on July 10. 

 

Assault 

• A subject was arrested in the 300 block of Southwest Third Street just after 10:30 p.m. on July 7 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for fourth-degree assault. 

• A subject who was involved in a physical dispute in the 300 block of Southwest Third Street just before 12:35 a.m. on July 8 was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for fourth-degree assault. 

 

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT 

Malicious Mischief 

• A 45-year-old Centralia man was arrested in the 1400 block of Nora Lane just after 9:20 a.m. on July 7 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for second-degree malicious mischief after he allegedly destroyed property during a dispute. 

 

Criminal Trespass 

• A homeless man from Chehalis was cited for trespassing at a convenience store in the 900 block of Harrison Avenue at 10:05 p.m. on July 7. 

• A homeless man from Centralia was trespassed from railroad property in the 1600 block of West Reynolds Road at 6:40 a.m. on July 8. 

• A 42-year-old Seattle woman was arrested and booked into Lewis County jail on an outstanding King County felony warrant after she was contacted by police for dumping garbage on private property in the 600 block of North Tower Avenue at approximately 750 a.m. on July 8. She was given a warning for littering and trespassing after cleaning up the garbage. A 33-year-old Centralia man was also cited for second-degree criminal trespassing.

 

Theft 

• Property was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 400 block of West Main Street at 11:15 a.m. on July 7. 

 

Vehicle Accident

• A vehicle reportedly crashed into a road sign at the intersection of North Pearl and West Sixth streets just before 8:50 p.m. on July 7. 

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

As of Monday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 183 inmates, including 169 in the general population and 14 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 138 were reported male and 31 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 12 were reported male and two were reported female.
