CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Graffiti

• Graffiti was reported in the 600 block of Centralia College Boulevard at 8:15 a.m. on June 1.

• Graffiti was reported in the 300 block of South King Street at 11:10 a.m. on June 3.

 

Retail Theft

• Two unidentified men reportedly stole handbags from an outlet store in the 1300 block of Lum Road just after 10:35 a.m. on June 1.

• A case of theft was reported at a grocery store in the 500 block of South Tower Avenue just after 2:10 p.m. on June 1.

• An unidentified man reportedly stole over $400 of groceries from a business in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue just after 9:55 p.m. on June 2 and fled in a white car.

 

Vehicle Theft

• A silver Ford Escape was reported stolen from the 1200 block of G Street just after 9:10 a.m. on June 2.

• A travel trailer was reported stolen from the 1300 block of Belmont Avenue just after 10:55 a.m. on June 2.

 

Other Theft

• A cellphone was reported stolen from the 100 block of South Silver Street at approximately 1:55 p.m. on June 2.

• Sunglasses were reported stolen from the 600 block of Harrison Avenue just after 7:05 p.m. on June 2.

 

Vehicle Accident

• A minor, non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported at the intersection of Harrison and Belmont avenues just before 4:40 p.m. on June 1.

 

Resisting Arrest

• A Chehalis woman was arrested in the 1000 block of West Walnut Street just before 1:50 p.m. on June 2 and was cited for outstanding warrants, possessing a dangerous weapon, possessing illegal narcotics and resisting arrest.

• A Chehalis resident was arrested in the 100 block of South Tower Avenue just after 11:35 p.m. on June 2 and was cited for disorderly conduct, obstructing a public servant and resisting arrest.

 

DUI

• Diana Frias, 41, of Napavine, was arrested in the 1400 block of Johnson Road just after 7:15 p.m. on June 2 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for allegedly driving under the influence after someone reported she was driving erratically through an apartment complex.

 

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Retail Theft

• Power tools and a level were reportedly shoplifted from a business in the 1700 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at 2:45 p.m. on June 1.

• A subject was cited for shoplifting after they allegedly stole a cart full of items from a business in the 1700 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 12:50 p.m. on June 2.

 

Recovered Vehicle

• A stolen vehicle was recovered in the 300 block of Southwest Chehalis Avenue just after 7:25 p.m. on June 2.

 

Other Theft 

• A wallet was reported stolen from the 1900 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 7:35 a.m. on June 1.



• A case of first-degree theft reported in the 1800 block of Northeast Kresky Avenue just after 2:40 p.m. on June 1 is under investigation.

• A case of second-degree theft was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 6:25 p.m. on June 1.

• A case of second-degree theft was reported in the 2000 block of Northeast Kresky Avenue at 5 p.m. on June 2.

• An item was reported stolen from a mailbox in the 1500 block of North National Avenue at 10:20 p.m. on June 2.

 

Burglary

• A second-degree burglary reported in the 1900 block of South Market Boulevard just after 4:15 a.m. on June 2 is under investigation.

• A business’ burglary alarm was activated in the 1900 block of South Market Boulevard just after 12:20 a.m. on June 3.

 

Trespassing

• A man who was reportedly “defecting and taking off his clothes” at a property in the 800 block of Northwest Alta Way was trespassed from the location just after 10:40 a.m. on June 1.

 

Harassment

• A case of harassment reported in the 300 block of Northwest Park Street at 11 a.m. on June 1 is under investigation.

• A case of harassment was reported in the 1500 block of North National Avenue at approximately 7:55 p.m. on June 2. A woman had reportedly tried to push her way into the caller’s apartment.

 

Vehicle Accidents

• A vehicle reportedly struck a fence in the 1400 block of Northwest Airport Road just before 5:30 p.m. on June 1. No injuries were reported.

 

Kid Pushed Into Bushes 

• Just after 5:35 p.m. on June 1, a caller reported a 12-year-old was pushed into the bushes near Penny Playground by a group of seven other juveniles. 

 

Shooting Complaints

• Just before 11:40 p.m. on June 1, a caller in the 1300 block of Southwest Mills Avenue reported hearing five gunshots.

• A gunshot was reported in the 300 block of North Chehalis Avenue at approximately 4:30 a.m. on June 3. The caller reported hearing people screaming. Police checked the area and found no emergency.

 

Broken Doors 

• Just after 7 a.m. on June 2, a caller in the 1500 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue reported seeing glass falling from the front door of a business. The door and the business themselves were secure.

• Just after 7:10 a.m. on June 2, a caller in the 1500 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue reported a front glass door to a business was broken but intact.

• A disorderly man reportedly tried to break a door in the 600 block of West Main Street with his hand just after 3:20 p.m. on June 2. He was trespassed from the property.

 

Suspicious Circumstances

• Suspicious circumstances that were reported at the intersection of Northwest Louisiana Avenue and Northwest Chamber of Commerce Way just before 12:20 p.m. on June 2 are under investigation.

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

As of Friday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 144 inmates, including 123 in the general population and 21 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 100 were reported male and 23 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 18 were reported male and three were reported female.
