Sirens: Signature gatherer accosted; man faces charges for stolen vehicle, machine gun, chase; juvenile arrested after throwing spatula

LEWIS COUNTY SUPERIOR COURT

• Keri D. Martin, 55, Winlock, made a preliminary appearance in Lewis County Superior Court Monday, Oct. 13, for two counts of third-degree assault and one count of fourth-degree assault, domestic violence. Martin allegedly kicked her boyfriend and later police as she was being arrested. Bail was set at $10,000 cash or bond. A domestic violence protection order was entered on behalf of the alleged victim, as well as an order for Martin to surrender firearms.

• Dural D. Thomas, 20, King County, made a preliminary appearance in Lewis County Superior Court Monday, Oct. 13, for charges of possession of a stolen vehicle, second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of a machine gun and attempting to elude a pursuing police vehicle. Bail was set at $50,000 cash or bond.

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Arrests

• Jeremy Fredrickson, 32, Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for second-degree burglary after he allegedly entered a local business from which he had been trespassed and committed theft in the 300 block of West Reynolds Avenue at about 7:33 p.m. Oct. 13.

• Benjamin R. Hardy, 49, Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail for third-degree malicious mischief, domestic violence, after allegedly damaging property belonging to a family member in the 200 block of West Pear Street at about 12:23 a.m. Oct. 15.

Assault

• A juvenile female was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Juvenile Detention Center for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, after allegedly throwing a spatula at a household/family member in the 2900 block of Mt. Vista Road at about 4:32 p.m. Oct. 13.

• Tracee McCardle, 33, Centralia, was referred to the Centralia Municipal Court for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, in the 2900 block of Mt. Vista Road at about 6:37 p.m. Oct. 13, after McCardle was allegedly found to have left a welt on a family/household member during a physical dispute the night prior.

• David Minder, 50, Centralia, was referred to the Centralia Municipal Court for fourth-degree assault and third-degree malicious mischief after he allegedly grabbed a signature gatherer at a local business and damaged their signature pad in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue at about 6:50 p.m. Oct. 13.

Criminal trespassing

• Stephen C. Martindale, 48, Coos Bay, Oregon, was arrested and booked in Chehalis Tribal Jail for alleged second-degree criminal trespassing and camping on city property/parks (second offense).

Possession of a controlled substance

• Paige Kimbler, 42, Centralia, was arrested and issued a citation for two counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, after Kimbler was allegedly found with suspected fentanyl and methamphetamine as well as assorted drug consumption devices in the 900 block of South Pearl Street at about 2:18 p.m. Oct. 13. Kimbler was also given a court summons for an outstanding arrest warrant for third-degree theft.

Theft



• A theft of approximately $200 was reported in the 900 block of Long Road at about 8:28 a.m. Oct. 14. No probable cause was established for an arrest.

• Pamela A. Trent, 47, Vancouver, was referred for charges of second-degree retail theft, special circumstances, in the 100 block of West High Street at about 4:55 p.m. Oct. 14 after allegedly stealing merchandise from multiple establishments.

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Arrests

• Darren J. Imler, 58, Chehalis, was arrested and booked for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, after he allegedly pushed the reporting party down and against the wall in the 1700 block of South Market Boulevard at about 3:23 a.m. Oct. 11.

• Mary E. Stumph, 25, Chehalis, was booked into the Lewis County Jail for one count of fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, for an alleged incident in the 1000 block of Southwest 20th Street at about 9:39 p.m. Oct. 13.

Accidents

• An accident with injuries was reported in the 100 block of North Market Boulevard at about 12:16 p.m. Oct. 10. No arrests were reported.

• A two-vehicle collision with injuries was reported at the corner of North National Avenue and Northeast Coal Creek Road at about 4:56 p.m. Oct. 10. No arrests were reported.

Theft

• A theft was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at about 2:32 p.m. Oct. 13. The case is under investigation.

JAIL STATISTICS

• As of Oct. 15, the Lewis County Jail had a total facility population of 181 inmates, including 168 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of the general population inmates, 136 were reported male and 32 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and two were reported female.
