CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT
Arrests
• Sherri L. Scott, 43, Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail for attempted third-degree theft in the 200 block of South Pearl Street at about 4:56 p.m. Nov. 17 after she was allegedly confronted by store staff while trying to steal items.
• Kaleb A. Gallauher, 25, Port Angeles, was arrested and booked into the Cowlitz County Jail for eluding and an outstanding warrant. Gallauher was allegedly stopped by police for a noise violation in the 200 block of West Main Street at about 3:54 a.m. Nov. 18. During the stop, officers reportedly learned Gallauher had an active felony warrant. According to police, Gallauher put the car in reverse and hit an officer with the door, dragging him backwards before the officer could get away from the vehicle. The officer allegedly suffered minor injuries. Officers pursued the eluding vehicle into Cowlitz County, where Cowlitz County Sheriff’s Office deputies reportedly took custody of Gallauher. According to police, Gallauher was referred to the Lewis County Prosecutor’s Office for second-degree assault and eluding.
• Albert L. Brown Jr., was arrested for allegedly possessing suspected fentanyl and other items to facilitate the alleged delivery of suspected drugs in the 1300 block of Harrison Avenue at about 8:13 p.m. Nov. 18.
Accidents
• A hit-and-run collision was reported in the 500 block of North Tower Avenue at about 3:54 p.m. Nov. 18.
Assault
• Ronnie A. Gonzalez, 37, Centralia, was arrested and issued a criminal citation for alleged fourth-degree assault in the 100 block of South Tower Avenue at about 12:51 p.m. Nov. 17.
• A juvenile was reportedly arrested for assault in the 900 block of Johnson Road at about 11:57 a.m. Nov. 18. The juvenile allegedly assaulted three officers by kicking and spitting on them.
• Alaster T. Dudley, 18, Centralia, was arrested after allegedly being involved in a physical altercation with his significant other in the 200 block of West First Street at about 12:36 a.m. Nov. 19.
Burglary
• Two suspects reportedly cut a fence and gained entry into an enclosed area at night, stealing a chain saw and a bag of unknown items. The case is under investigation and was reported in the 1000 block of South Gold Street at about 10:41 a.m. Nov. 17.
Criminal trespassing
• Two transients were reportedly warned by security staff not to smoke marijuana in public. According to police, this caused the two to become belligerent, and they were trespassed from the location in the 900 block of Old Airport Way at about 11:47 a.m. Nov. 17.
• A transient was trespassed from a business in the 1100 block of Kresky Avenue at about 3:50 p.m. Nov. 17 after staff allegedly called in to report that the man was “trying to set up camp.”
Malicious mischief
• Damage was reported to the entryway posts of an establishment in the 1100 block of Caveness Drive at about 4:01 p.m. Nov. 17.
Marijuana violation
• A juvenile was arrested in the 1000 block of North Washington Avenue at about 6:09 p.m. Nov. 18 after he was allegedly found to be in possession of suspected marijuana.
Recovered stolen vehicle
• Officers reportedly recovered a previously-stolen vehicle in the 1300 block of Harrison Avenue at about 6:53 p.m. Nov. 18.
Theft
• Three juvenile females were referred to the Lewis County juvenile prosecutor for third-degree theft after they allegedly damaged product in a store and attempted to steal makeup in the 1400 block of Harrison Avenue at about 4:39 p.m. Nov. 17.
CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT
Drug possession
• Gregorio Cordero, 36, Centralia, was issued a criminal citation for alleged knowing possession of a controlled substance in the 1100 block of Southwest Sylvenus Street at about 12:49 p.m. Nov. 16.
Hit-and-run
• A hit-and-run was reported in the 1100 block of South Market Boulevard at about 6:40 p.m. Nov. 16. According to police, the incident occurred around 6 p.m.
Malicious mischief
• A citizen reported a vehicle with a brick thrown through it and wires hanging out of it in the 1200 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at about 4:53 a.m. Nov. 17. According to the caller, the vehicle had been parked there for about a week.
Vehicle theft
• A vehicle theft was reported in the 200 block of Southwest Lewis Street at about 7:11 p.m. Nov. 15 after the reporting party allegedly discovered the theft in camera footage.
Accidents
• A two-vehicle non-blocking collision occurred at the corner of Northwest Cascade Avenue and North Market Boulevard at about 1:28 p.m. Nov. 14. No injuries were reported.
• A two-vehicle collision blocking one lane of traffic occurred in the 1900 block of North National Avenue at about 9:54 a.m. Nov. 15. No injuries were reported.
• A parking lot accident occurred in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at about 12:27 p.m. Nov. 15.
• A vehicle collided with a bridge guardrail at the corner of Northwest Chamber of Commerce Way and North National Avenue at about 12:18 p.m. Nov. 16.
• A vehicle accident with damage was reported at the corner of Northwest Louisiana Avenue and Northwest Chamber of Commerce Way at about 1:45 p.m. Nov. 16.
• A vehicle accident with damage — including airbag deployment — was reported in the 600 block of Northwest Chamber of Commerce Way at about 2:32 p.m. Nov. 16.
JAIL STATISTICS
• As of Nov. 18, the Lewis County Jail had a total facility population of 176 inmates, including 163 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of the general population inmates, 129 were reported male and 34 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and two were reported female.
• As of Nov. 19, the Chehalis Tribal Jail had a total jail population of 19 inmates. Of those, six were from Centralia and six were from the Department of Corrections. Additionally, there were two inmates from the Quileute Nation, two from the Tulalip Tribe, and one each from the Suquamish, Lummi Nation and Shoalwater Bay Tribes.
