Centralia Police Department
Arrests
• Michael Chown, 45, of Chehalis, was arrested and booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail for an outstanding arrest warrant for third-degree driving while license suspended or revoked at about 12:35 p.m. June 16 in the 100 block of West Maple Street.
• Justin R. Cook, 46, of Chehalis, was booked into the Lewis County Jail for a fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, warrant issued out of Centralia Municipal Court at about 10:30 p.m. June 16.
Theft
• Juan M. Lopez Abrego, 26, of Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for third-degree theft after he allegedly stole food items and a pair of gloves at about 9:49 p.m. June 16 in the 600 block of Harrison Avenue. Officers located him fleeing the scene.
• The theft of alcohol and chips was reported from a convenience store in the 1000 block of Belmont Avenue at about 3:25 p.m. June 16.
• Theft of food was reported from a grocery store in the 1000 block of South Yew Street at about 3:43 p.m. June 16.
• The theft of a backpack was reported in the 100 block of South Tower Avenue at about 3:11 p.m. on June 17. The case is under investigation.
Burglary
• Parts were reported stolen from a tractor after a burglary at a shed at about 3:17 p.m. June 17 in the 1000 block of Kresky Avenue.
Malicious mischief
• Sean L. Ticknor, 45, of Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail at about 4:18 p.m. June 16 for third-degree malicious mischief, domestic violence, after he allegedly damaged property belonging to someone with whom he has a relationship in the 300 block of Tilley Avenue.
Organized retail theft arrests
• Joseph L. Brown, 44, Amber K. Robertson, 39, and Brandon D. Pino, 50, all of Longview, were arrested and booked for second-degree organized retail theft and second-degree theft after they were allegedly caught stealing over $1,000 worth of merchandise from a store in the 100 block of West High Street at about 6:14 p.m. June 16. “Additional drug-related charges may be referred at a later date,” Centralia police stated in a news release. “Joseph was caught hiding in some bushes after a brief foot pursuit, and will receive the additional charge of obstructing a law enforcement officer.” Margaret A. Wilson, 47, also of Longview, was present during the theft but was not found to be party to it, according to police. She was issued a criminal citation for possession of drug paraphernalia and was released at the scene.
Hit-and-run
• A caller in the 300 block of South Gold Street on June 16 reported a hit-and-run that occurred last week. The report was made after security camera footage was obtained.
Criminal trespass
• Don K. Gonzales, 40, of Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for second-degree criminal trespass and on an outstanding Centralia Municipal Court warrant at about 9:48 p.m. June 17 in the 1000 block of Belmont Avenue.
Vehicle prowl
• A vehicle prowl was reported at around 1:39 a.m. June 18, in the 1000 block of South Gold Street. The suspects did not manage to get into the car or steal anything, according to a news release from the Centralia Police Department.
Chehalis Police Department
The Chehalis Police Department has not released its call reports since last week. Look for updated information in an upcoming edition of The Chronicle and at chronline.com when the reports are made available.
JAIL STATISTICS
• As of Wednesday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 194 inmates, including 181 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 141 were reported male and 40 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and two were reported female.
• As of Wednesday morning, the Chehalis Tribal Jail had a total system population of 30 inmates, including 17 booked by the Centralia Police Department, four booked by the state Department of Corrections, two booked by the La Push Quileute Nation, one booked by Chehalis Tribal Court, one booked by Chehalis Tribal Law Enforcement and five booked by the Tulalip Tribe.
