Sirens: Tools Stolen; Disorderly Conduct; Rape; Vehicle Accidents

Malicious Mischief

• Just after 11:45 a.m. on Aug. 19, there was a report of a tire slashing that occurred in the 2100 block of North National Avenue a couple days prior.

 

Disorderly Conduct

• At approximately 12:10 p.m. on Aug. 19, a “hostile” man was reported in a drive-thru in the 100 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue. The man reportedly “started calling the store and calling them names and told them to check their cars.” No damage to cars on the property was reported.

• A man who was “getting aggressive” inside a business in the 1700 block of North National Avenue and reportedly tried to steal a hat, a shirt and a knife was trespassed from the property at 6:25 p.m. on Aug. 20.

• A disorderly man was trespassed from the 500 block of North Market Boulevard just before 7:50 p.m. on Aug. 21.

 

Disputes

• A physical dispute where a man was reportedly trying to pull a woman out of a vehicle was reported in the 300 block of West Main Street at approximately 1:35 p.m. on Aug. 19.

• A physical dispute where a woman was reportedly throwing stuff at a man was reported in the 100 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue just after 9:05 a.m. on Aug. 20.

• A “pretty hostile” verbal dispute was reported in the 1400 block of Southwest Wilson Avenue at approximately 10 p.m. on Aug. 20.

• Just before 10:50 p.m. on Aug. 20, a caller in the 600 block of Northwest Quincy Place reported a neighbor pulled a knife on him and in response, the caller took the knife and “may have broken the (man’s) nose.” No arrests were made.

 

Theft

• A vehicle prowl reported in the 1000 block of Northwest State Avenue just after 9:40 a.m. on Aug. 20 is under investigation.

• A cart full of tools was reported stolen from the 1300 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at approximately 7 p.m. on Aug. 20.

• A vehicle prowl reported in the 10 block of Southwest Sixth Street just before 8:40 p.m. on Aug. 20 is under investigation.

• A bicycle was reported stolen in the 300 block of Southwest Ninth Street just after 8:40 p.m. on Aug. 21.

 

Rape



• A third-degree rape reported in the 1400 block of Southwest Grandview Avenue just before 12:05 a.m. on Aug. 21 is under investigation.

 

CENTRALIA POLICE  DEPARTMENT

Vehicle Accidents

• A non-injury, two-vehicle accident was reported at the intersection of East Reynolds Avenue and North Pearl Street just after 11:25 a.m. on Aug. 19.

 

Assault

• A 19-year-old was referred to the prosecutor’s office at approximately 12:05 p.m. on Aug. 20 in the 200 block of North King Street for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence.

 

Malicious Mischief

• A vehicle’s windshield was reported damaged in the 1500 block of Pike Street just after 8:30 a.m. on Aug 19. The damage reportedly occurred overnight.

 

Theft

• A power tool was reported stolen from the 600 block of Harrison Avenue at approximately 1:15 p.m. on Aug. 19.

• A Centralia man was arrested in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue just after 2:35 p.m. on Aug. 19 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for shoplifting.

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

As of Monday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 180 inmates, including 162 in the general population and 18 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 131 were reported male and 31 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 16 were reported male and two were reported female.
