Sirens: W.F. West Senior Prank; Indecent Exposure; DUI Arrest; Beer Thrown at Bus

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Vehicle Accident

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported in the 800 block of South Gold Street at approximately 1:25 p.m. on June 3.

 

Theft

• Alcohol was reported stolen from a store in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue just after 2:10 p.m. on June 3.

• A 2013 Kia Rio with Arizona license plates was reported stolen from the 100 block of North Tower Avenue just after 8:45 p.m. on June 3.

• A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the 1600 block of South Gold Street just before 11:55 a.m. on June 4. Video footage from the parking lot reportedly shows a man wearing dark shoes, a dark hoodie and dark shorts laying under the vehicle while removing the converter. The suspect’s face was not visible in the video.

• A bicycle was reported stolen from the 300 block of West Summa Street just after 8:55 p.m. on June 4.

• A Chehalis man was referred to the Lewis County Prosecutor’s Office just before 9:10 p.m. on June 5 for possible second-degree theft charges after he allegedly took $800 from an unlocked safe in the 1500 block of Meadow Lane.

• Several gas cans were reported stolen from the back of a pickup truck in the 1000 block of Eckerson Road just after 4 a.m. on June 6. 

 

DUI

• Kimberly N. Herrera-Torres, 24, of Centralia, was arrested at the intersection of South Gold and East Locust streets just before 1:40 a.m. on June 4 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol.

 

Malicious Mischief

• A home owner reported a broken window to their residence in the 500 block of South Iron Street just before 11 a.m. on June 4.

• Graffiti was reported on a residential fence in the 700 block of Field Avenue just after 1:35 p.m. on June 4.

• A suspect wearing dark clothing reported painted lettering on the wall of a business in the 400 block of West Main Street at approximately 8:45 p.m. on June 4.

 

Trespassing

• A Centralia man was cited for trespassing at a business in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue at approximately 11:05 p.m. on June 4.

• A woman was trespassed from a grocery store in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue just before 1:15 p.m. on June 4 for disorderly conduct.

• A man was trespassed from a store in the 600 block of Harrison Avenue just before 9:50 p.m. on June 5 for disorderly conduct.

 

Assault

• A Centralia woman was arrested in the 1400 block of Johnson Road just after 12:05 p.m. on June 4 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence.

 

Indecent Exposure

• Just after 6:55 a.m. on June 5, there was a report of an unidentified man exposing his genitals to a woman in the 200 block of North Tower Avenue.

Vehicle Prowls

• Just before 11:10 a.m. on June 3, a vehicle prowl that occurred in the 1500 block of North National Avenue two nights prior was reported.

• A vehicle prowl was reported in the 1500 block of rice Road just before 9:20 p.m. on June 3.

 

Other Theft

• A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 1700 block of Southwest Armstrong Court just before 5:40 a.m. on June 4.

• A second-degree theft was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 5:35 p.m. on June 4.

• A vehicle theft reported in the 100 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue at 6:15 p.m. on June 4 is under investigation.

 

Harassment

• A case of harassment was reported in the 300 block of Southeast Valley View Way at approximately 6:15 a.m. on June 4.

 

Assault

• A subject was arrested in the 200 block of Southwest 10th Street just before 10:30 p.m. on June 4 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged fourth-degree assault.

 

Possible Burglaries

• Just after 2:20 a.m. on June 5, a caller in the 10  block of Southwest Fourth Street reported that they thought someone was trying to break into their residence. No arrests were made.

• At approximately 5:50 p.m. on June 5, a caller reported someone tried to break into a residence in the 10 block of Southwest 11th Street multiple times over the weekend. No arrests were made.

 

Beer Thrown at Bus

• A man reportedly threw full beer cans at a bus in the 1700 block of North National Avenue at approximately 11:45 a.m. on June 5. The man then reportedly exposed himself and peed on a nearby building. No arrests were made.

 

W.F. West Senior Prank

• Just after 10:20 p.m. on June 5, a caller reported seeing roughly 50 students on the roof of a W.F. West High School with balloons, shrink-wrap and toilet paper. Officers determined they were participating in the senior prank and there was no damage done to the school.

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

As of Monday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 142 inmates, including 128 in the general population and 14 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 104 were reported male and 24 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and three were reported female.
