LEWIS COUNTY SUPERIOR COURT
Arraignments
• Jaelinn C. Farmer, 26, Centralia, pleaded not guilty to one count each of second-degree possessing stolen property, making a false or misleading statement to a public servant and third-degree driving on a suspended license during an arraignment on July 30. Farmer was arrested on July 23 after allegedly taking a license plate from the autobody shop she worked at and affixing it to her Ford Mustang.
Preliminary appearances
• Frankie L. Blevins, 53, Chehalis, made a preliminary appearance July 30 for one count of second-degree assault (domestic violence) after he allegedly hit a woman in the shoulder, arm and side with a hammer. According to court documents, Blevins and the victim lived together. The court set bail at $25,000 cash or bond and issued a no-contact order on behalf of the victim. An arraignment hearing was scheduled for Aug. 6.
• Junior W. Jordan, 22, Winlock, made a preliminary appearance July 31 for single counts of second-degree theft and second-degree possessing stolen property and two counts of first-degree trafficking in stolen property after he allegedly stole a virtual reality headset, acoustic guitar and other possible items from the victim’s home. Jordan then allegedly pawned the guitar. The court released Jordan on a $10,000 unsecured appearance bond and scheduled an arraignment hearing for Aug. 6.
CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT
Arrests
• Adrian J. Price, 26, Chehalis, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for second-degree malicious mischief after allegedly damaging property at a local business in the 1300 block of Belmont Avenue at about 2:05 p.m. July 31.
• Candice N. Aho, 36, Yakima, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged vehicle theft, second-degree theft, third-degree theft and possession of someone else's identification following a reported vehicle theft near the corner of North Gold Street and Ham Hill Road at about 9:35 p.m. Aug. 1. According to police, the owner had briefly left the vehicle unattended prior to its theft. The stolen vehicle was found abandoned in Thurston County. The original suspect, Aho, was allegedly found with articles from the vehicle when she was contacted by Centralia officers. Aho allegedly admitted to taking the vehicle but disputed the circumstances.
• Nathan Edson, 41, Cinebar, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged second-degree robbery in the 1000 block of South Yew Street at about 1:51 p.m. Aug. 2. According to police, Edson allegedly used physical force to retain stolen property from staff during a theft at a local business.
Accidents
• A two-vehicle collision with no injuries was reported at the corner of Borst Avenue and Johnson Road at about 5:57 p.m. July 31.
Assault
• James H. Tiller, 56, Chehalis, was arrested and booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail for fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) after an alleged dispute in the 300 block of East Main Street at about 7:47 p.m. Aug. 1.
• Angela R. Vanoy, 49, Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) after she allegedly injured another person during a dispute in the 1900 block of Ahlers Avenue at about 9:12 p.m. Aug. 2.
• Officers received a report of assault in the 100 block of East Pine Street at about 9:50 p.m. Aug. 2. The case is under investigation.
Burglary
• A burglary to a vacant residence was reported in the 700 block of Field Avenue at about 10:30 a.m. Aug. 1. There was no suspect information at the time.
Criminal trespass
• Maile A. Reyes, 44, Onalaska, was arrested and released with a criminal citation for alleged first-degree criminal trespass in the 400 block of East Summa Street at about 10:54 a.m. July 31.
• Don K. Gonzales, 37, Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail for alleged second-degree criminal trespass in the 600 block of Harrison Avenue at about 4:02 p.m. Aug. 1.
• Manuel Barrios, 31, Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for second-degree criminal trespass after allegedly refusing to leave a business from which he had just been trespassed in the 1000 block of Eckerson Road at about 6:58 a.m. Aug. 3.
DUI
• Juan Ignacio Juan, 29, Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for allegedly driving under the influence following a traffic stop near the corner of South Pearl Street and West Walnut Street at about 11:53 p.m. July 31. Ignacio Juan was also allegedly driving on a suspended/revoked license.
Malicious mischief
• A victim’s vehicle was reportedly egged sometime during the night of July 31. The alleged egging was reported in the 1100 block of South Pearl Street at about 11:01 a.m. Aug. 1.
Possession of controlled substances
• Ricardo Contreras Galvan, 42, Federal Way, was arrested and booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail for alleged unlawful possession of a controlled substance and use of drug paraphernalia in the 200 block of West Roanoke Street at about 9:50 a.m. July 31. Contreras Galvan was also allegedly driving on a suspended license.
• Edwin E. Kunkel, 55, Chehalis, was arrested and released with a criminal citation for alleged unlawful possession of a controlled substance and use of drug paraphernalia in the 800 block of South Gold Street at about 11:29 a.m. July 31.
• Misty D. Fuller, 46, Centralia, was arrested and released with a criminal citation for alleged unlawful possession of a controlled substance in the 2000 block of Borst Avenue at about 10:24 a.m. Aug. 1.
Protection order violation
• Luis Perez Arellano, 51, Chehalis, was referred to the city’s prosecuting office for an alleged violation of a no-contact order in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue at about 1:27 p.m. Aug. 1.
Theft
• Sara Y. Johnson, 25, Centralia, was arrested and issued a criminal citation for third-degree theft after she was allegedly caught shoplifting by store staff in the 1000 block of South Yew Street at about 7:48 p.m. July 31.
• A firearm was reported stolen in the 1400 block of Lewis Street at about 12:47 p.m. Aug. 1. The case is under investigation.
CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT
Arrests
• Gregory Krenz, 50, was booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged unlawful imprisonment in the 1500 block of North National Avenue at about 10:36 p.m. Aug. 2. Krenz was also referred for alleged third-degree malicious mischief (domestic violence), possession of drug paraphernalia and fourth-degree assault (domestic violence).
Accidents
• A two-vehicle collision with no injuries was reported in the 1700 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at about 1:18 p.m. July 31.
JAIL STATISTICS
• As of Aug. 3, the Lewis County Jail had a total facility population of 151 inmates, including 137 in the general population and 14 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of the general population inmates, 110 were reported male and 27 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and three were reported female.
• As of Aug. 3, the Chehalis Tribal Jail had a total jail population of 19 inmates. Of those, seven were from Centralia and five were from the Department of Corrections. Additionally, there were three from the Lummi Nation and one each from the Quileute Nation, the Shoalwater Bay Tribe, the Skokomish Tribe and the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
