Republicans in the state Senate announced their committee assignments on Wednesday, including their selection for the top Republican on each committee.
Sen. John Braun, R-Centralia, of the 20th District, was selected to serve on the Housing, Labor and Commerce; Ways and Means; and Rules committees. As the Republican leader in the Senate, Braun does not serve as the top Republican on any committee.
Sen. Jeff Wilson, R-Longview, of the 19th District, will serve on the State Government, Tribal Relations and Elections; Housing; Human Services; and Transportation committees. Wilson will continue serving as the top Republican on the State Government, Tribal Relations and Elections Committee.
Sen.-elect Drew MacEwen, R-Shelton, of the 35th District, will join the Business and Financial Services; Environment, Energy and Technology; Labor and Commerce; and Transportation committees. MacEwen will serve as the top Republican on the Environment, Energy and Technology Committee.
