No injuries were reported in a structure fire that ignited nearby brush and burned 2 acres in the Boistfort area before fire crews extinguished it Sunday evening.

The fire was reported at about 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, according to the Boistfort Firefighters Association, in the 2100 block of Wildwood Road.

Lewis County Fire districts 13 in Boistfort, 11 in Pe Ell and 16 in Doty and Dryad responded, launched a defense attack on the structure fire and contained the brush fire to 2 acres.

“Thank you everyone for your hard work. These types of calls, we are essentially managing two different calls that require somewhat different tactics,” the Boistfort Firefighters Association said in a Facebook post Monday morning.

The firefighters association reminds anyone who sees a suspicious fire to call 911 as soon as possible “to avoid any delays in responses.”
