Submerged, Wrecked Vehicles Remain in Chehalis After Winter Weather

Posted

Two vehicles — one submerged in water in the 2100 block of North National Avenue and another down a steep embankment on Northeast Kresky Avenue — have not been abandoned, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

The owners of the vehicles are working to get the vehicles removed after they were involved in separate accidents during last week’s inclement weather, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

No injuries were reported in the vehicle accidents.

One vehicle owner is reportedly working to resolve an insurance matter before the vehicle can be removed, while the other is waiting for the water levels to lower, according to Chehalis Police.

Limited tow truck availability has also been a factor.

The Chehalis Public Works Department could not be reached by press time.
