All three phases by the Tumwater High School football team came to play on Friday night with a one-sided 62-7 victory against Aberdeen at Stewart Field to open EvCo division action.
Forty-eight of the Thunderbirds' points came in the opening half. Cam Briscoe, Grady Wall, Gavin Kaikkonen and Joey Haase all scored rushing touchdowns while Jake Reid was 3-for-3 for 107 yards, all completions went for TDs.
Ethan Bello also had a scoop-and-score while Wall, Ethan Marson and Finn Bracy each recorded a tackle for loss. T-Birds (7-0, 1-0 EvCo) head coach William Garrow left Grays Harbor County quite pleased.
“The defense was outstanding, the offense executed well and the younger guys played in the second, third and fourth quarters and did a great job maintaining the standard expected throughout the game,” Garrow said.
Tumwater will take on Black Hills next week in the Pioneer Bowl.
