The Tumwater volleyball team won its 13th consecutive game on Tuesday, sweeping Rochester 25-4, 25-8, 25-11.

The T-Birds (13-1, 12-0 2 EvCo) completed a perfect league season, sweeping all six opponents twice.

On Tuesday, four Thunderbirds had at least six kills, including Whitney Van Gorkom, who had seven, Brooklynn Hayes, Chloe Henderson, and Natalie Montoya-Kilmer, who each had six. Emily Robello had 25 assists.

Hayes also led the team with five aces, though others also had success from the service line. As a team, the Thunderbirds tallied 17 aces.

As the top seed in the Evergreen Conference, the T-Birds will take on the No. 4 team from the Greater St. Helens League in the first round of the district tournament, which will take place on Nov. 2 at Tumwater.

Before then, the T-Birds will finish their regular season with a trip to Fife on Thursday, when they’ll take on the Trojans.
