The Tumwater volleyball team stretched its winning streak to six matches with its fifth straight league sweep, beating Aberdeen 25-18, 25-5, 25-17 on Tuesday.
The Bobcats hung around with the T-Birds (7-1, 5-0 2A EvCo) for a set, before the hosts put the pedal fully to the metal to win the second set by 20 points. Natalie Montoya-Kilmer and Paige Henderson led a balanced attacking night with seven kills apiece; Whitney Van Gorkom added six, and both Bailey Broeker and Tove Hugus had four.
Brooklyn Hayes served up five aces, and also led the back row with 10 digs.McKayla Clary added seven digs, and Broeker passed around 30 assists.
The Thunderbirds will wrap up their first pass through the 2A EvCo with a match at Rochester on Thursday.
