The Tumwater girls soccer team fell behind nearly immediately Saturday at South Sound Stadium, but bounced back with more than enough offense to down North Thurston 5-1.

The Rams took a 1-0 lead within the first minute, but by the 10th, Ava Jones had tied the game up. Things stood at 1-1 for 20 minutes until Jones struck again in the 30th, giving the Thunderbirds the lead for good.

Kayla Pope and Kennedy Reidl added to the lead in the 50th and 60th minutes, respectively, before Jones capped off her hat trick in the 70th.

Tumwater will get the week off, then host Washougal in its home opener next Saturday.
