The Tumwater girls soccer team rattled off its 12th consecutive shutout Thursday, bagging a 6-0 win over W.F. West in Chehalis in a 2A EvCo matchup.
Emalyn Shaffer got the scoring started in the seventh minute for the Thunderbirds (12-0-1, 9-0 2A EvCo), and capped it in the 64th.
Between her two goals, Makenzie Kolb scored in the 24th minute, Lucy Bergford scored in the 31st, Taytem Becker made it 4-0 before the break in the 34th and Ava Jones started the offense back up after halftime in the 59th.
Staysha Fluetsch made seven saves for the Bearcats (6-7, 5-4 2A EvCo) in the first half, and Charlee Nelson made three in the second.
Tumwater will open next week at Shelton on Tuesday. W.F. West, meanwhile, will face Centralia at home, with the Chronicle Cup on the line.
