Tumwater and Hockinson battled to a 1-1 stalemate in regulation before the Thunderbirds fell in penalty kicks, 3-1, in the 2A District 4 semifinals Tuesday at home.
The loss snapped a 12-match win streak for the T-Birds, with their only previous loss this season coming to Class 4A Camas Sept. 25.
Emmalynn Schaffer scored the Thunderbirds' lone goal on an assist from Ava Jones in the 21st minute.
Tumwater (15-2) will now host Washougal in a loser-out, winner-to-state match at 7 p.m. Thursday. Washougal defeated W.F. West 1-0 in double overtime Tuesday.
