The Morton-White Pass softball team couldn’t dig out of an early hole on Friday, as the Timberwolves fell to Toutle Lake in five innings.
The Ducks scored six in the first and broke the game open with three more in the second and third before capping it with a pair in the fourth.
The T-Wolves (2-11, 1-6 C2BL) managed a pair in the fourth and another in the fifth, but it wasn’t enough to bridge the gap.
Bria Elkins went 2 for 3 at the plate with an RBI, and Kyra Bowen also collected a hit and drove in a run. Abigail Sympson logged the T-Wolves’ other hit.
Morton-White Pass will head to Mossyrock for a non-league contest on Wednesday.
