Coming into the 2025 campaign, the Morton-White Pass volleyball team had been swept five straight times by Adna.

This fall, the Timberwolves have flipped the script, winning both of their meetings with the Pirates with the latest victory coming in Morton in five sets Thursday night 25-18, 23-25, 25-14, 21-25, 15-5. MWP also beat Adna in four sets on the road on Sept. 23.

“We didn’t have our best game tonight, but the girls found a way to battle through and pull off the win,” MWP head coach Jamie Brazil said. “That says a lot about their heart and determination. Even when things aren’t clicking, they stuck together, stayed composed and found a way to finish strong.”

The T-Wolves and the Pirates went back and forth all night, trading sets. When MWP won its sets, it won convincingly, including 15-5 in the deciding fifth frame.

Ryelin Wiedenmann paced the T-Wolves with 18 kills, 14 digs and one block, while Brooklyn Montoure added 10 aces and six kills. Ryleigh Johnson was stout at the net with eight blocks, and Chevy Fuller tacked on nine kills and six blocks. Crystal Dygert dished out 29 assists and recorded a pair of kills.
