T-Wolves pick up first win at White Swan

The Morton-White Pass football team secured its first win of the season Friday night after making the trip across the pass to White Swan, coming away with a 42-6 victory.

Coming off of a discouraging Week 1 loss to Toutle Lake, the Timberwolves (1-1) knew they needed to get their offense rolling soon, and they wasted no time in White Swan

“Physically, we are very young,” MWP head coach Lee Metcalf said. “But I've got a feeling we're gonna start playing pretty well.”

Quarterback Judah Kelly was the man leading the attack for the T-Wolves, accounting for MWP’s first five touchdowns. In the first quarter, Kelly went 22 yards on the ground to draw first blood on the Cougars, then followed it up the next drive with a 17-yard dime to Tony Belgiorno.

Wasting no time in the second quarter and extinguishing any hope of a White Swan comeback, Kelly found Belgornio again from 25 yards out to score, and then Brecken Pelletier from 18.

Coming out of halftime, Kelly proved to have one more trick up his sleeve and one more stat to add to his line, running it in once more from 10 yards out. Kohen Ingalsbe put the final points of the night on the board for the T-Wolves, with a 31-yard touchdown run to go up 42-0.

Next Friday the T-Wolves will be trekking far into the Olympic Peninsula to battle Forks.
