T-Wolves slam door on Mules’ barn

The Morton-White Pass girls basketball team gave up 13 points in the first quarter, then decided that was just about all it wanted to allow Wahkiakum on Wednesday, sealing the Mules up in a 68–17 win at Randle.

After leading by six points at the end of the first quarter, the Timberwolves (8-5, 3-3 C2BL) went on a 23-0 run in the second, then held the Mules to just two points in both the third and fourth.

Malia Armstrong led MWP with 23 points, going 6 for 8 from beyond the arc. McKenzee Mays added 12 points. Natalia Armstrong filled up the statsheet with seven points, seven rebounds, five steals and five assists.

The T-Wolves will face Napavine on Friday.
