Behind three in double figures and allowing under 40 points for the 10th time, the Morton-White Pass girls basketball team dominated Mossyrock en route to a 51-33 victory on Friday night in C2BL action.
Up just three after the opening quarter, the Timberwolves (11-5, 1-2 C2BL) scored at least 12 points in every quarter. The win puts them at the same number as last season with a handful of games to go.
Malia Armstrong led MWP with 13 points, Ryelin Wiedenmann had 12 and Layna Sams chipped in 11. It has nearly a week off before it battles Rainier on the road on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Mossyrock (10-4, 0-2) were held to their lowest output of the season. It now has a stretch of facing Napavine, Toutle Lake and Adna in the span of a week, starting on Tuesday against the Tigers.
Maci Rashoff scored 10 points to lead the Vikings while Taylor Schwartz recorded eight points.
“It wasn’t a good night for us all around,” Mossyrock head coach Nick Rashoff said. “We didn’t play well on either end of the floor. We didn’t execute, we had an off shooting night and just got out worked.”
