Tacoma man airlifted to hospital after crashing motorcycle outside Morton

Thomas F. King, 57, Tacoma, was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle after losing control of his motorcycle outside Morton on Aug. 23.

The single-vehicle crash occurred about 1 p.m., according to the Washington State Patrol.

According to the press memo, King was traveling southbound on state Route 7 just north of Klasey Road when he “failed to negotiate the curve, lost control, and left the roadway.”



King was reportedly not wearing a helmet compliant with the U.S. Department of Transportation.

Charges were listed as pending, according to the memo. The cause of the accident is under investigation.

It is unknown whether drugs or alcohol were involved.
