Tenino Young-At-Heart Theatre will present “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” at Tenino High School beginning Thursday, July 20.
“Based on the Victor Hugo novel and songs from the Disney animated feature, ‘The Hunchback of Notre Dame’ showcases the film’s academy award-nominated score, as well as new songs by Menken and Schwartz. Peter Parnell’s new book embraces story theater and features verbatim passages from Hugo’s gothic novel,” Tenino Young-At-Heart Theatre stated on its website. “A sweeping score and powerful story make ‘The Hunchback of Notre Dame’ an instant classic. Audiences will be swept away by the magic of this truly unforgettable musical.”
The show runs for two weekends with performances at 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday July 20-22 and July 27-29 and 2 p.m. matinees on Sundays July 23 and July 30.
General admission is $15 for adults and $13 for students and seniors. A pay-what-you-can performance is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 26. Tickets can be purchased at the door or online at https://teninoyoungathearttheatre.org/tickets/.
