The Huntting’s Pumpkin Patch asks for donations to help put on annual Easter egg hunt

Of the many churches, businesses and organizations in Lewis County that host annual Easter egg hunts, The Huntting’s Pumpkin Patch and Haunted Forest’s egg hunt draws the biggest crowds by far, with hundreds of families on average flocking to the Cinebar farm in East Lewis County every April.

With the Huntting family having just welcomed a new addition earlier this month, though, this year’s egg hunt at Huntting’s is currently in limbo, according to a Facebook post from the farm asking for donations.

“Unfortunately, money is tight this year, with us just having a baby and other life expenses. We love putting on the egg hunt for the community but it is not cheap. It costs us about $10,000, and even with selling tickets for the adult hunt, it still only brings in around $1,800,” the Hunttings said on Facebook. “If anyone would like to donate to help make this year‘s egg hunt possible, we would appreciate it. If we don’t get enough donations to an egg hunt this year, your donation will still go towards next year’s egg hunt.”

Last year’s egg hunt at Huntting’s Pumpkin Patch featured over 29,000 eggs hidden around the pumpkin patch and haunted forest area, with prizes including sodas, candy bars, chips and chocolate bunnies.

Those interested in donating can send donations to Landon Huntting via his Venmo account, @lan600132, or Cashapp, $Lan6000. Cash and check donations can also be dropped off at the locking mailbox at the farm, or mailed to it at 600 Cinebar Road, Cinebar WA, 98533.
