The Loft in Chehalis to host Trees for Hope Gala on Dec. 3

The Loft in Chehalis will host its first annual Trees for Hope Gala on Tuesday, Dec. 3, to raise money for local nonprofits. 

“Bid on one-of-a-kind Christmas trees and wreaths, beautifully decorated by local nonprofit organizations. Perfect for a festive display in your business or home!” organizers state in promotional material for the event. “This event is all about spreading hope and raising funds for our local non-profits in the holiday spirit in our community. Let's make a difference together!” 

Doors open at 5 p.m., with the live auction beginning at 6 p.m. 

Tickets are $50 each and include access to a grazing table and desserts as well as two drinks from a no-host bar provided by Joel at The Shire. Tickets can be purchased online at https://tinyurl.com/33k7pdma.   

Participating nonprofits and their respective tree themes are: 

  • Drew North: PNW Outdoors 
  • Visiting Nurses: Crystal Blue Christmas 
  • Veterans Memorial Museum: We the People Americana 
  • Adaline Coffman Guild for Seattle Children’s Hospital local patients: Garden-themed Seeds of Hope 
  • Benny’s Florist, representing the local chapter of Bikers against Child Abuse, Inc.: Black Retro Disco 
  • Lewis County Special Olympics: The Grinch 
  • Lewis County Accessible Recreation: Gingerbread/CandyLand 
  • Lewis County Parent to Parent: Nightmare Before Christmas 
  • Lewis County Autism Coalition: Rustic Country Christmas 
  • Chehalis-Centralia Railroad and Museum: Polar Express 

In addition to the trees, Pope’s Kids Place will auction off a 48-inch live wreath and Health & Hope and the Boys & Girls Club of Lewis County will each auction off a 36-inch live wreath. 

Christmas carolers from Jesus Name Pentecostal Church will perform during the event. 

All proceeds will benefit the participating nonprofits. 

The Loft will host free public tree viewing from 1 to 6 p.m. on Nov. 29 and Nov. 30 and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Dec. 1.

The Loft is located at 547 NW Pacific Ave. in Chehalis.
