Thirteen local athletes named to WSVCA All-State teams

More than a dozen local volleyball athletes were named to the Washington State Volleyball Coaches Association All-State Teams, groups that were voted on by coaches around the state.

Napavine’s Keira O’Neill and Adna’s Kendall Humphrey were named to the 2B first team, while Adna’s Karsyn Freeman and Dankia Hallom were named to the second team. Napavine’s Dakota Hamilton and Rainier’s Acacia Murphy earned honorable mentions.



In the 2As, the Tumwater trio of Emily Robello, Brooklynn Hayes, and Paige Henderson were recognized, as Robello earned second-team honors and Hayes and Henderson were honorable mentions. Black Hills' Ashley Harris was also named to the second team.

Two Mossyrock juniors were named to the 1B second team in Erin Cournyer and Chesney Schultz, and senior Abbie Lovan earned an honorable mention.
