The Thurston County Board of County Commissioners will be holding a public hearing to receive testimony from the community concerning the Grand Mound subarea plan, according to a news release.

It will be held at the Thurston County offices located at 3000 Pacific Ave. SE in Olympia, suite 110, and will begin at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 19.

According to the county’s website, the Grand Mound subarea plan will guide growth and development in the Grand Mound urban growth area over the next 20 years. An update is currently being done to the previous subarea plan, created in 1996.

Four site-specific land use and zoning amendments are being considered, along with associated code changes and updated goals and policies.
