The annual Thurston County Fair officially returned on Wednesday, July 31, and will continue at the event’s location, 3054 Carpenter Road SE, Lacey, until Sunday, Aug. 4.

The 2024 fair showcases a plethora of local talents, including youth animal projects, different performances, local artists and gardeners displaying their work, a mix of vendors, carnival rides and traditional fair food. Thurston County Fair organizers also introduced the new mascot, “Betty Bee,” to embody the spirit of community and celebration — defining the Thurston County Fair.

“We are excited to welcome everyone to the Thurston County Fair,” Fair Director Thomasina Cooper said in a press release. “It’s a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together, celebrate our local talents, and create lasting memories with friends and family.”
