Bail was set at $100,000 Tuesday for a suspected Centralia narcotics dealer arrested following a series of controlled buys conducted by the Thurston County Narcotics Task Force.
Orval L. Chancy, 64, is charged with three counts of delivery of a controlled substance and two counts of possession with intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance.
Chancy made a preliminary appearance in Lewis County Superior Court on Tuesday.
According to a probable cause affidavit, the Thurston County Narcotics Task Force used a confidential informant to conduct three controlled methamphetamine buys between July 1 and Aug. 31.
On Aug. 31, task force detectives detained Chancy as he was leaving his presumed residence on East Locust Street in Centralia. Detectives then executed a search warrant at the home and reportedly seized 44.1 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 1.6 grams of suspected fentanyl, digital scales and “baggies” used for packaging, according to the affidavit.
Chancy has been issued 33 warrants for his arrest in past cases, according to the affidavit. He is scheduled for an arraignment on Thursday.
