The Napavine volleyball team rebounded from a tough road loss with a sweep of Raymond on Wednesday night, winning 25-14, 25-17, 25-15.

After a tough day serving the ball on Tuesday at Adna, the Tigers still struggled at times Wednesday, missing nine. But they also had 17 aces, including seven from Kennedy Purvis.

Napavine coach Monica Dailey said that the team received serves better, which allowed the offense to get into the rhythm that escaped them yesterday.

“The girls were a little more relaxed tonight,” Dailey said.

Emily Kang was perfect from the service line and led the team with 29 digs, while Dakota Hamilton led the way passing the ball with 20 assists.

Jessie McCoy had an excellent day all around, accounting for 11 digs, seven kills and seven assists. Keira O’Neill tallied 16 kills, five blocks and four aces. Grace Gall was also solid on defense, recording 15 digs.

The Tigers begin league play tomorrow, when they’ll head south to take on Winlock.
