The Napavine boys basketball team completed a perfect regular season in a big way on Thursday, rolling to a 90-38 win over Morton-White Pass.

The Tigers (19-0, 13-0 C2BL) were rolling on offense all night, but the Timberwolves (7-13, 3-10 C2BL) kept pace early.

Napavine slowly pulled away in the first half, leading by five after one and 17 at the break, before breaking it open in the second half. The Tigers outscored MWP 27-7 in the third and 21-6 in the fourth to improve to 19-0.

One game after topping 2,000 career points, James Grose continued to add to his total, scoring 36. Karsen Denault added 20 on 12 of 12 shooting, and Jarin Prather added 14.

Denault also hauled in 10 rebounds for a double-double, while Grose led the team with five assists and three blocks.

The Tigers were rarely loose with the ball, as they only turned the ball over six times.

Tony Belgiorno led the Timberwolves with 14 and Kris Elliott added 10. Keaton Thompson grabbed nine rebounds.

Napavine has earned a bye to the second round of the district tournament, meaning they won't return to the court until Feb. 6, but Morton-White Pass still has a chance to claim the C2BL’s final spot.

The Timberwolves are 3-10 in league play, tied with Kalama for the No. 7 spot. Since the two teams split their regular season meetings, they’ll meet for a winner-in rubber match on Friday at Toutle Lake.
