The forward duo of Layton Griffith and Tyler Watson were game-wreckers on Saturday afternoon, combining for 23 points and 11 rebounds to help the Napavine High School boys basketball team cruise past Coupeville 62-33.
The Tigers (11-3) won the second and third quarters by just two points, but dominated the first and fourth frames, outscoring Coupeville 33-6. Alongside Watson and Griffith, sophomore guard Eric Bullock recorded a game-high 22 points on nine made field goals and four triples.
Beckett Landram stuffed the stat sheet for Napavine with eight points, seven assists, five rebounds and four steals. The Tigers return to C2BL play on Wednesday with a road game versus Toutle Lake.
