Tigers stifle Trappers for second win

The Centralia girls basketball team shut down Fort Vancouver for most of the night on Wednesday, as the Tigers handled the Trappers 52-24.

While the Tigers allowed 18 points in the second quarter, they allowed just six points in the other three quarters combined, and they posted a shutout in the third quarter.

Brooklyn Sprague hit four threes and finished with a game-high 16 points, while Ayana Saucedo and Emma Ferch both added eight.

Aniela Gunn scored five, while Maddie Ahern, Payton Baumel, and Lilly Negron each had four. Makenzie Erickson rounded out the Centralia scorebook with three points.

The Tigers (2-1) will head north on Friday to take on Foss.
