Morton-White Pass responded after a scoreless opening quarter to obliterate Highland 44-7 in a Week 1 non-league affair on Friday night at home.
Two touchdowns by Kohen Ingalsbe inside the 5-yard line broke the ice and MWP (1-0) rolled from that point on. It found the end zone two times each in the final two frames.
“It was ugly football,” T-Wolves head coach Lee Metcalf said. “We started to pick it up in the second half, started making adjustments on things. We came out and just opened it up.”
Logan Mays paced the backfield with 98 yards on eight carries while quarterback Judah Kelly totaled over 100 yards of offense. Defensively, MWP kept Highland at bay with zero passing yards and forcing four fumbles, recovering three.
The Timberwolves hit the road in Week 2 to take on White Swan.
