Members of the Toledo City Council convened on Monday, June 15, for their second regular monthly meeting.
The meeting was a short one, with the majority of the time during the meeting going to members of the Southwest Washington Fair Advisory Board, previewing some of the new events coming to this year’s fair scheduled later this summer from Aug. 11 to Aug. 16.

After the fair presentation, the only things left on the council’s agenda were a pair of leak forgiveness requests from Toledo residents — which were both approved — and an ordinance changing the location of the handicapped parking spot outside of Toledo City Hall.
Previously, the parking spot was on the west side of North Second Street, across the street from city hall.
“We originally had it on the post office side, and that’s not where it should have been. East and west aren’t my thing,” Toledo City Clerk-Treasurer Rachel Campbell said jokingly.
The Toledo City Council meets on the first and third Monday of each month starting at 6 p.m. inside Toledo City Hall, located at 130 N Second St. in the South Lewis County community. Meeting recordings can be found online at https://www.youtube.com/@toledowashington8036.
