The Toledo baseball team had no issues in its season opener on Wednesday in South Bend, as the Riverhawks needed just three innings to beat the Ravens 17-2.

The first nine Riverhawks to step to the plate reached base safely, and they led 7-0 before the first out of the game was recorded. By the middle of the first, Toledo led 14-0.

Brady Weeks, Nico Acosta, Austin Reed, and Ryker Sorenson drove in at least two runs each, while Sorenson, Isaac Parmantier, and Rohan Feigenbaum each threw a scoreless inning.

The Riverhawks will play their first home game on Friday against Onalaska.
