A 2019 Ford F-550 caught fire Thursday morning after striking a semi-truck on Interstate 5 in Cowlitz County, according to the Washington State Patrol (WSP).

According to WSP, the F-550, driven by Kyle W. Bryan, 35, of Toledo, was heading northbound on I-5 shortly before 5 a.m. when it “swerved into the right lane” and struck the semi-truck.

The F-550 then caught fire as it came to rest in the center lane, while the semi-truck stopped on the right shoulder of the road, troopers said.

The incident occurred around milepost 56.

Neither Bryan nor the semi-truck driver, Davinder Singh, 48, of Auburn, were injured in the collision. Both were reportedly wearing seat belts.

Troopers cited Bryan for improper lane change. His truck was considered totaled.

WSP indicated that no drugs or alcohol were involved in the incident.
