The Toledo girls basketball team was stuck in neutral for most of the night offensively on Tuesday, and the Riverhawks couldn’t do enough to overcome those struggles in a 37-27 loss at Toutle Lake.
Toledo scored just 10 points in the first half, but seemed to find a groove with 12 points in the third. The Riverhawks still trailed by six entering the fourth, and the offense struggled to keep its momentum in the final frame.
As a team, Toledo was outrebounded 30-17, and it was outshot 63-43.
Ryah Stanley led the Riverhawks with eight points, while Ellie Fallon logged seven. Peyton Holter and Hope Gould both added five, and Kailea Lairson-Young had two.
Toledo will enter the postseason with six losses in its last seven games.
As the No. 8 seed out of the C2BL, the Riverhawks are set to face Napavine, the C2BL’s No. 3 seed, in the first round of the district tournament on Saturday.
