It’s now nine wins in a row for the Toledo volleyball team, which swept Morton-White Pass 25-23, 25-16, 26-14 in Randle on Tuesday.
Ellie Fallon logged 12 kills on a .333 hit efficiency percentage along with 10 digs and three aces, while Lexi Young added eight kills on a .269 percentage. Abby Umbriaco and Taysia Miller led the defensive effort with nine digs each.
The loss snapped MWP’s six-game winning streak.
“This one was a tough loss,” MWP coach Jamie Brazil said. “I feel like we beat ourselves more than anything tonight. We made little mistakes and we let those little errors pile up until they cost us momentum … I know we’re capable of so much better than what we showed … I still believe in this group 100 percent, and I know that our best volleyball is still ahead of us.”
Both teams will begin league play on Thursday. Toledo (9-0) will head to Napavine while MWP (6-2) will host Toutle Lake in Randle.
