Toledo extended its winning streak to eight on Tuesday, taking down Toutle Lake 5-3 at home in a Central 2B League matchup.
Toutle Lake struck first with two runs in the top of the first, but a two-run single from Eli Weeks tied the game before the end of the opening frame.
Weeks gave Toledo the lead in the third, hitting a three-run home run to left to put Toledo up 5-2. After Joaquin Acosta pitched the first three innings, Isaac Parmantier allowed just two hits and an unearned run in the final four innings to preserve the victory.
Weeks finished with his two hits and drove in all five of Toledo’s runs, while Acosta and Rohan Feigenbaum scored two runs each.
Toledo (8-0, 7-0 C2BL) will take on Toutle Lake again on Friday.
